Proposals

Win the work.
Keep the momentum.

Send a proposal your client opens from a link. They choose between your options, add the extras they want, ask you a question if they're not ready, and sign online. The moment they do, the deposit invoice is drafted for you.

  • Options to choose between, optional add-ons and a monthly plan
  • See when they open it, and how often they come back
  • Every signature kept with the exact copy that was signed

One connected way of working

Fewer loose ends.
A clearer next step.

Your proposal shouldn't be the end of one process and the start of another pile of paperwork.

01 / Propose

Make it clear.

Put the work, the options and the price in a proposal your client reviews and signs online.

02 / Work

Keep it moving.

Each signed proposal becomes a project. Log time against it and watch its budget as you go.

03 / Invoice

Bill what's due.

The deposit and any monthly plan are drafted for you. Add tracked hours to an invoice in a click.

04 / Get paid

Know where you stand.

Clients pay by card or bank transfer from their invoice. Payments record themselves; reminders are one click.

Built around the way service businesses actually work.

Walk through the workflow

Time and budgets

Every hour.
Every retainer.
In the picture.

Log time against a project and see what it's adding up to. Give a project a budget in hours or dollars, or a monthly allowance of hours that rolls over, and know before a client does when you're close to it.

  • Billable time that goes onto an invoice when you choose
  • Monthly hours with rollover, each month kept on record
  • Recurring invoices for the work that keeps coming back

The back office, brought together

Room for the work.
Less room for the admin.

One place for what used to live across spreadsheets, templates, a time tracker and your inbox.

Proposals clients sign

Options, add-ons, deposits and monthly plans, signed online by typing or drawing. A question from the client lands in your inbox.

Invoices clients pay

A link to a clean invoice they pay by card or bank transfer, through your own Stripe account. Paid invoices mark themselves.

Follow-ups, handled

Late invoices turn overdue on their own. Send a polite reminder or nudge a proposal in one click, never more than every few days.

Time that adds up

Log hours against the work, keep an eye on each project's budget, and bring billable time into an invoice.

Recurring work

Recurring invoices for retainers and ongoing services, and monthly hour allowances with rollover.

A few useful answers

A little clarity
before you begin.

How ProjectAgile fits into your day-to-day work.

Can I sign up for ProjectAgile?

ProjectAgile is in private beta, so sign-ups are by invitation for now. Join the waitlist and we'll be in touch.

Who is ProjectAgile for?

Software consultants, freelance developers, dev shops and fractional CTOs: anyone whose client work starts with a proposal and carries on through a build, hours, support and invoices.

Do my clients need an account?

No. Whoever signs off on the work, a founder, a product lead or someone in accounts, opens the link you send, confirms their email address, and signs the proposal or pays the invoice. There's nothing to install and no password to remember.

How do clients pay?

By card or bank transfer (ACH), through your own Stripe account, which you connect in a few minutes. You choose which ways you take, and can cap card payments on large invoices. You can also record a cheque or a transfer by hand.

Does it handle support retainers and recurring billing?

Yes. Put a client on monthly hours with rollover for maintenance and on-call work; hours over the allowance wait for you to bill them. Recurring invoices bill hosting, licences and fixed retainers on a schedule.

What about sales tax?

Set your tax rate, mark what's taxable (all of a line, or part of it), and the invoice shows clients how the tax was worked out. A sales tax report adds it up for filing.

Can I use it with Claude or other AI tools?

Yes. ProjectAgile has an MCP server built in. Connect Claude or another MCP client and ask it to draft a proposal from your scoping notes or tidy an invoice. You confirm each connection once, signed proposals can't be changed, and every edit is saved as a version you can restore.

How is my account kept secure?

Sign in with a passkey, or a password plus an authenticator code. Every signature is kept for good with the exact copy that was signed.
